KL International Photoawards 2011 is an annual Contemporary Photographic Portraits competition, open to all photographers. Entrants are able to submit work to two categories, Open Portrait Individual and Themed Portrait Story.
For 2011, we have teamed up with Anti-Slavery International to offer a Themed Story Category with the concept of ‘Interculturalism’ (20% of all entry fees will be donated to Anti-Slavery International to fund their awareness programs across the world).
All photographs must have been taken in 2010 and 2011. The Photographer retains the copyright of all submitted images at all times.
The KL International Photoawards 2011 is open to all photographers, professional and amateurs from all countries.
Must have been 16 years of age or over on 31st March 2011.
The top three winners from each category will receive USD$3,000, USD$1,500 and USD$750 respectively plus a specially designed trophy and Pacsafe products.
In addition, the Anti-Slavery International Prize for the Most Promising Photographer Under 25 in the Portrait Story category shall receive an Olympus XZ-1 digital camera, courtesy of Olympus Cameras UK.
The six main Prize Winners will be invited to attend the Prize Awards in Kuala Lumpur at MAPKL gallery, and will be offered a travel subsidy if they decide to be present on 19th April, 2011.
